  • What is Pilates?

    Pilates is a core fitness training system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century and is practiced worldwide. Pilates works with your abdominals and also your back muscles then into your limbs.

  • What do I wear for my first session?

    Wear something comfortable that you can move freely in.

  • Will I be sore?

    Yes. You will feel it deeper and in your weaker muscle groups. This soreness is different than a normal gym workout.

  • Is Pilates like Yoga?

    No. Pilates is not like yoga. The have some similarities such as establishing a mind body connection and breathing system but also have many differences.

  • How many sessions will I need to see the difference?

    The creator of pilates Joseph Pilates says “Your first 10 sessions your body is figuring it out. Your second 10 sessions you will feel a difference, and by your thirtieth session you will see the difference.

  • What are the Benefits of Pilates?

    The benefits of Pilates are numerous but include improved posture, better balance, increased strength, reduced injury risk, enhanced core, improved flexibility, boosted mood and greater stamina. The practice of pilates also offers a foundation for a strong mind body connection.
